Fashion Design & Pattern Making
Flagship pathway since 2021: from sketch to prototype — flat pattern, draping and atelier construction.
Overview
Launched with ÉFC's first cohort (September 2021), this one-year pathway trains practitioners to translate creative intent into industrial and craft patterns, toiles and finished garments. Modules cover drawing, flat pattern, stand draping, construction and a jury-assessed collection project. The professional FDP certificate is issued with a public code verifiable on the school domain. Indicative volume: 600 taught hours. Not a state degree (Licence/Master) unless legally stated otherwise.
Outcomes
- Produce industrial and craft patterns for womenswear and selected menswear blocks
- Translate design concepts into toiles, fittings and finished garments
- Apply fit analysis and alterations under atelier conditions
- Document a coherent personal collection project for jury and portfolio

Official Credential
Graduates who meet completion criteria receive a Professional Certificate. Public codes use prefix EFC-FDP and can be checked on /verify.

Prerequisites
- Portfolio or prior fashion/design studies preferred
- B2 French (FR cohort) or B2 English (EN cohort when offered)
- Interview with Academic Director — Design
